The Margaree River and the North River have Salmon runs from June till October. Rainbow Trout: with size reaching 8 pounds, the sea run in the Baddeck River happens during the month of October. The Bras d'Or Lakes are open for Rainbow Trout fishing year-round. Speckled Trout: with size reaching 3-4 pounds, the sea run in the Baddeck River happens from June 1 till mid July .
