Geocaching in Cape Breton, Nova ScotiaGeocaching at Crown Jewel is designed as an educational, self-guided adventure. Guests staying at the resort can use geocaching to stretch their legs while learning about the history of the property and the unique geological and natural features of the Baddeck River Valley.There are more than 10 caches all selected for their educational value. They include remains of old structures, an old saw mill, old trees, beaver dams, hidden abandoned logging roads, and more. Upon reaching the cache you find a plaque with the story of the specific item or location. You then log your visit and go to the next cache. There is no limit to the number of caches you visit as long as you do not miss your dinner time... |
